Why We're Obsessed With Coffee

Eduardo selecting coffee

During the pandemic, while the world paused, I found myself reconnecting with family and old friends, revisiting memories and places that had been forgotten over time. One of those trips led me back to my grandfather’s farm in Mesitas del Colegio, Colombia. He had passed away years earlier, but as I wandered through the fields, I made a remarkable discovery—his coffee plants were still growing, resilient and full of life, though they had been left unattended.

That moment became a turning point for me. My grandfather's farm had always been a symbol of family, tradition, and the deep roots of my Colombian heritage. Coffee, a cornerstone of Colombian culture, took on new meaning as I stood among those plants, realizing that something so important had been quietly flourishing, waiting to be rediscovered.

After returning to Charleston, SC, I couldn’t shake the idea that I was meant to do something more with this legacy. I felt an undeniable pull to bring this tradition of high-quality, authentic Colombian coffee to the Lowcountry, to share not just a product, but a story—a story of family, roots, and resilience.

Today, we’re not only reviving those forgotten plants, but we’re also working closely with local farmers, ensuring that every step of the coffee-making process honors both tradition and sustainability. Our online coffee market buys directly from coffee farmers, ensuring socially responsible practices—no underage labor, fair wages, and a commitment to earth conservation. Each cup you enjoy supports families like mine, who have dedicated their lives to cultivating the best coffee, while also preserving the land for future generations.

Join us on this journey—savor the rich, authentic flavors of Colombia, and help us keep this legacy alive, one cup at a time.

We ensure that our entire production chain is free from child labor and guarantees fair working conditions with equitable wages for coffee farmers. Additionally, we adopt sustainable farming practices that protect the environment and secure a better future. Every cup of coffee you enjoy is a step toward a more fair and responsible trade system.

Why Colombian Coffee?

Colombia’s unique geography and dedication to quality make it one of the best coffee-producing regions in the world. Located along the equator, Colombia enjoys ideal growing conditions with a mix of high altitudes, rich volcanic soil, and a climate that’s perfect for coffee cultivation. The country’s mountainous terrain allows for hand-picking only the ripest coffee cherries, ensuring exceptional flavor in every bean.

Additionally, Colombian farmers have a deep-rooted tradition of coffee cultivation, often passed down through generations. This passion and expertise shine through in every cup, delivering a balance of sweetness, acidity, and richness that’s hard to match.

When you choose Colombian coffee, you’re not just enjoying world-class flavor—you’re also supporting sustainable farming practices and the livelihoods of small-scale growers dedicated to preserving their craft.
